2. Emile Smith Rowe

From one Hale End graduate to another, I do believe the time is up for Emile Smith Rowe.

Given that 2023/24 season was now-or-never for Smith Rowe, the fact that he started just 3 Premier League games, after starting zero in the previous campaign, should suggest that it is time for both parties to move on.

Arsenal have an influx of midfielders who are waiting to break into the team. Mohamed Elneny has already left the club upon his contract expiry and it looks like one more midfielder will leave. The choice is whittled down to two players - Fabio Vieira or Emile Smith Rowe. While there is still hope about Vieira making a name for himself, it makes sense for Smith Rowe to leave.

Smith Rowe is only 23 years old and he has made 80 Premier League appearances. He's scored 12 league goals, which is impressive for a player in his position. Therefore, interest will not be short. However, the more Arsenal let him rot away on the bench, the more his value and confidence will decrease.
