Arsenal had a very quiet January transfer window, which isn't always a bad thing. As was reiterated by the coach Mikel Arteta, there are times in life where less is more, and there wasn't a position the club felt needed to be addressed urgently.
While most fans will look ahead to the summer transfer window optimistic of new signings, this post will focus on some of the players Mikel Arteta should look to shift out of the squad.
3 Arsenal players who Mikel Arteta must sell in the next transfer window
Without further ado, let's take a look at three potential Arsenal sales...
1. Cedric Soares
I don't think I'm going out on a limb by putting Cedric Soares forward to be sold. After all, some fans may have even forgotten he's an Arsenal player, since he very rarely makes the sub bench, let alone the starting eleven.
Cedric Soares was signed by Arsenal in 2020, following a successful loan spell from Southampton. Since then, though, he has fallen further and further back in the pecking order.
As a versatile full-back who can play on either side of the defence, and even further forward as a midfielder if required, it seems strange that he isn't getting any game time. But it is through no fault of Mikel Arteta's, Cedric just does not fit the system anymore.
With this in mind, I must address that Cedric Soares' contract expires this summer. With no sign of a contract renewal, it looks like Arsenal might lose him on a free deal. Not the most heartbreaking news but it is annoying the club can't recuperate some losses, admittedly.
