Arsenal have had a great season so far. Coming off the back of last season, the only way to improve was to finish top of the Premier League. While the season is far from over, this is the position the Gunners currently find themselves in. Therefore, at this stage, Mikel Arteta can have no complaints.
3 Arsenal players who stepped up a level in 2023/24
To step up a level is a collective effort but of course, it is easy to pinpoint the players who have individually helped to achieve this feat. With that said, here are the 3 Arsenal players who stepped up a level in 2023/24.
1. Jakub Kiwior
The Poland international Jakub Kiwior was signed by Mikel Arteta in January 2023 and although it has taken him time to settle into the first team, he is now a mainstay in the starting lineup. So much so, that Zinchenko's return from injury is not enough to boot Kiwior out of the starting lineup, who has made the left-back position his own.
For context, Kiwior has already made 16 Premier League appearances this season - Starting nine of them. Last season, the Pole made seven Premier League appearances, starting five matches. While it's important to mention that Kiwior only had half a season last campaign, it does show the improvement he's made to be featured a lot more often in Arteta's plans from the start of matches.
