Mesut Ozil joined the club from Real Madrid on the summer deadline day of 2013. Not only did his signing bring about iconic fan celebrations outside the Emirates as the deal was announced, but it also brought one of the world's finest playmakers to the Premier League.

The German did not only provide a ridiculous amount of assists but also countless chances that were never taken. Alongside Alexis Sanchez, Ozil made up one of the deadliest duos that the Premier League has ever seen.

By far his most impressive season was in 2015/16 where he provided 19 assists, scored seven goals and created 146 chances in 35 games. That is an average of over four chances created per game. Insane.

Ozil was also known for his iconic bounce shot, where he would hit the ball into the ground so that it would bounce over the onrushing goalkeeper. Remember *that* iconic Champions League goal against Ludogorets?

During his time at Arsenal, Ozil won four FA Cups and two Community Shields as well as the 2014 World Cup with Germany. His work-rate often frustrated fans, but there is no denying that he is one of the most naturally-talented players to grace the Gunners midfield.
