Just missing out on the top spot is Alexis Sanchez. Although it may have ended in tears, Sanchez was one of the most dangerous players in the Premier League during his time at Arsenal and formed a deadly partnership with midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Sanchez joined the club from Barcelona in 2014 and spent four years at the club, making 166 appearances. The Chile international totaled an incredible 80 goals and 45 assists, not far shy of a goal involvement per game.

The winger scored 60 goals for the club in the Premier League including 24 in the 2016/17 season where he was arguably at the peak of his powers in an Arsenal shirt. Sanchez was not just a goalscorer, his workrate was exceptional and his technique was superb. At times it seemed as if the football was quite literally glued to his foot.

The Chilean won two FA Cups in his time at the club, scoring in both finals including an amazing long-range strike in the 2015 final. He also added three Community Shields to his collection before departing to Manchester United in a swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
