There is talk that Arsenal may not invest heavily into a new striker this summer, considering the form of Kai Havertz in 2024. While I can see the argument, I have to say this could come back to bite Arsenal in the backside.

Arsenal have a wonderful opportunity this summer to fix the only position they are weak in, centre forward. Viktor Gyokeres is one of the best performing centre forwards in Europe right now, scoring an impressive 22 goals and providing 10 assists in 27 Liga Portugal appearances. This kind of return doesn't come around often in the transfer window, so Arsenal must sign him.

Kai Havertz is playing wonderfully and he has been an asset to the team in recent weeks but Arsenal will find themselves in the same position next season of not having an out-and-out goal scorer if they don't do something about it.

Gyokeres is likely to cost an arm and a leg but the point remains - Arsenal must spend big money if they want to win big things.
