Needless to say, Arsenal will be active in the summer transfer window. Mikel Arteta is building a long-term success plan at the club and he requires the backing of the board. Since the Spaniard has given the board every reason under the sun to back him, they have done just that in the past and will continue this monetum in the summer transfer window.

Last summer, they added Kai Havertz and Declan Rice to the midfield. Since the former is adopting a more attacking role (understandably), Mikel Arteta would like to bring in a midfield reinforcement or two. With that being said, it comes as no surprise that Arsenal have been linked to three different midfielders over the last two days.

1. Bruno Guimaraes

According to The Sun, Newcastle United might struggle to keep hold of Bruno Guimaraes this summer and Arsenal have been named as one of the suitors (alongside Man United and PSG). It is thought that the Magpies are weary of FFP regulators, so they may feel the need to sell some prized assets to balance the books.

Bruno Guimaraes is a physical powerhouse who is one of the best in the Premier League. Needless to say, he could provide brute force in the Arsenal midfield, which would enable Declan Rice to flourish as the box-to-box and Martin Odegaard to free roam. Certainly, he'd be a great addition.
