It wouldn't be an Arsenal transfer shortlist if Martin Zubimendi wasn't involved, right?
A long-term Arsenal transfer target, Arsenal appear to be at an advantage in the race to sign him this summer. According to Fabrizio Romano (via Caught Offside), Arsenal and Bayern Munich are in the race to sign Martin Zubimendi, who could leave if his release clause is met.
The Italian football journalist did claim, though, that Bayern Munich's seriousness will depend on the new head coach, so Arsenal could be at an advantage to sign the player they have been linked with for a long time.

In his own words, Romano said: “Martin Zubimendi is still super happy at Real Sociedad. He loves the club, the city, the fans. No issues. If any club will trigger his release clause it will be up to the player to decide on the next move, but he’s surely on the list at Arsenal and Bayern (I never said Bayern were unlikely, just that he was a top target in case Alonso joined and it now will depend on the new coach)."
