A talented, quick-witted attacker full of creative ideas, Eze would fit right in with the style of play fans expect to see from the Gunners each week. Such flair and trickery have been missed at the club; the last one capable of bringing spectators to the edge of their seat was Gabriel Jesus, who has had his own fitness issues to deal with.

That's not to say the club are done with the Brazilian at all. In fact, he should hopefully be getting back into his flow next season. It's more so that Smith Rowe's sale poses an opportunity to add a little more magic to the squad, and Eze can bring precisely that. As a reinforcement for both the wings and in midfield, this would be a very exciting addition to look forward to.

All in all, though, it would be naive to think the England international would be a straightforward deal. Given his importance, Crystal Palace could easily demand much more than the £35m Arsenal are earning from their sale.

But if Arteta puts his mind towards convincing Eze of the Arsenal project, the deal could very much be possible.
