Positive #2: Ramping up the pressure

The win puts Arsenal, at the time of writing, three points clear of Liverpool, and four clear of Manchester City, who have two games in hand.

Having played first, and put in a convincing statement win, the pressure now falls on our title rivals, who know they must win to keep up with the pace that we have set.

Obviously, if Manchester City do indeed win both their games in hand, then they assume the driving seat once again, but to turn the pressure up at this late stage is massive.

As well as points tallies, Arsenal's goal difference is a staggering 12 goals better off than Manchester City's, and 13 better off than Liverpool's, which could prove decisive come the end of the season.

Negative #2: Fans leaving early

I am not ashamed to admit that I am clutching at straws here. The fact is that there were not three clear-cut negatives after such a dominant win and, as I write this, I am frantically trying to think of the third... but that is a job for future me!

But there were a notable, in fact unmissable, number of empty seats at the Emirates Stadium well before the full-time whistle sounded - which is not a great look.

But given it was a late kick-off, during the week and was a rearranged game, it is difficult to criticise those who left early to get home but, given such a large number of empty seats, it would have been nice for more support until the final whistle.
