Positive #3: Gabriel Jesus impressive during cameo
Gabriel Jesus made an appearance from the bench, as he continues to build up fitness after an injury, and the Brazilian, despite not scoring, showed moments of excellence and very promising signs as he steps up his return.
His biggest chance, as photographed above, was superbly saved by Diogo Costa, which was Jesus' first touch of the game, and looked destined to have given Arsenal an aggregate lead.
There is no guarantee that, when fully fit, Jesus will even start immediately, owing to our recent goalscoring form, but to see him showing such positive signs can only be seen as a good thing as we enter the business end of the season.
Negative #3: Post-match drama
It was a shame to see that, as the dust began to settle on a hugely eventful and emotional night, serious allegations made by Porto manager Sérgio Conceição dominated headlines, with the 49-year-old alleging that Arteta had insulted his family.
We have no way to know for sure what was or was not said, with Arsenal and Arteta both vehemently denying any such allegation, but the allegation alone is a sore sight.
Ultimately, someone is lying, and while I would not dare speculate who, I feel it is important to note that Conceição has accused managers of this before, having made similar allegations against both Thomas Tuchel and Pep Guardiola in recent years.
I doubt we will ever learn the truth but to see such an amazing result for Arsenal overshadowed by something that is better suited for a primary school playground is truly disappointing.
