Positive #2: Arsenal have a superstar in Bukayo Saka

Arsenal entered the weekend with speculations linking Kylian Mbappe to the club, but it seems they may have a rethink. Bukayo Saka has taken over the goalscoring mantle and is looking like the real deal this season. He has been outstanding in the last few years and had a blistering campaign last year, but it seems he has taken his game higher this season.

The 22-year-old has 12 goals this season including seven in his last six league games and is right in the mix for the Golden Boot this season. Liverpool won the league a few years ago with Mohamed Salah on the right as their talisman and has continued to be in the mix with the Egyptian still wreaking havoc on defenses. It seems Saka is getting to that level and it can only be a good thing for Arsenal.

Arteta said after the game when asked if Saka was affected by the Mbappe links. "I have no idea, I don't think Bukayo needs much motivating."

Negative #2: Continued absent of key players

After winning five matches in a row and scoring 21 goals in the process, I don’t see reasons to complain about anything. But my job here is to find negatives from the game. Perhaps there were little or no negatives from the game itself, but the continued absences of players like Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey is a big concern.

Arsenal have coped exceptionally well without Jesus, but with games against Porto, Newcastle United, Chelsea, Manchester City and other difficult fixtures are going to test the strength and depth of this squad.
