To be the best, you have to beat the best. For Arsenal, beating the best might entail stealing some of their players. After all, Mikel Arteta is clearly an admirer of the best club in the world, since he has focused a lot of his summer transfer window attention on engaging with Real Madrid.

It should come as no surprise. Not only is Mikel Arteta Spanish himself, so he will have a keen eye on Spanish football, but Real Madrid is enough to turn anyone's head. After all, they are the biggest club in the world and they are at the height of the game right now.

With several new players joining Real Madrid, Arsenal could capitalise. Here are 3 Real Madrid players Arsenal should sign this summer transfer window...

3 Real Madrid players Arsenal should sign this summer transfer window

1. Andriy Lunin

Arsenal do not reminding of Andriy Lunin's quality. In fact, the Ukrainian goalkeeper is a player who Arsenal are actively targeting. Andriy Lunin has a "brilliant offer" waiting for him from Arsenal, it's just a case of whether or not the player takes it.

With Aaron Ramsdale linked to a move away from Arsenal this summer, it makes complete sense that Arsenal are in the market for a new goalkeeper signing. Tommy Setford is close to joining Arsenal, after a €1m transfer fee was arranged with Ajax. However, Setford is one for the future, whereas Andriy Lunin is prepared to step up now.

2. Rodrygo

Rodrygo would certainly the most premium option from Real Madrid, however, Arsenal have shown a keen interest in signing the Brazil international.

With Kylian Mbappe and Endrick both arriving in the Spanish capital, this puts Rodrygo's place in the starting lineup in jeopardy. He is certainly good enough to start for Real Madrid, having proven that as one of their best players last season, but Carlo Ancelotti may find himself with too many world-class players for one team, a nice problem to have for sure.

As Rodrygo continues to contemplate his future at Real Madrid, it is worth Arsenal keeping an eye on his situation, as a golden opportunity could present itself here.

3. Arda Guler (loan)

Another player whose position is in jeopardy at Real Madrid due to the new arrivals is Arda Guler. The Turkey international bursted onto the scene in 2024, after overcoming a difficult start to life in Madrid.

Arda Guler is an exceptional example of what it takes to bridge the gap between midfield and attack and he's proven to be efficient in front of goal. As demonstrated at EURO 2024, he's capable of pulling off a spectacular goal, which is always welcomed at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have signed young players from Real Madrid before. In recent history, both Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard benefited from joining Arsenal temporarily. Hopefully, Arteta becomes aware of Guler's prowess and adds him to the list but it must be said, that nothing concrete is reported on Arsenal's interest in Guler - This is merely a suggestion, but a fine suggestion if I do say so myself.
