3 reasons why Arsenal should give Mika Biereth a chance
- The academy striker should be given a chance to shine next season
3. Loan experience
Since joining Arsenal's academy in 2021, Biereth has had loan spells at three different clubs. He spent the 2022/23 campaign with RKC Waalwijk and scored two goals in 13 appearances amid struggles with injury.
He was with Motherwell for the first half of the 2023/24 season and netted six goals in 15 appearances before joining Strum Graz in January. He had an impressive spell with the Austrian side as he scored nine goals in 22 appearances on his way to helping his side to the Bundesliga title.
Biereth has gained valuable first team experience with clubs throughout Europe and in my opinion, enough to warrant some chances. He could follow in the footsteps of academy graduates such as Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson in making the step up to the first team after loan moves.
