2. Return of Jurrien Timber

Jurrien Timber is very close to returning to action for the Gunners having sustained an ACL injury in his side's season opener against Nottingham Forest. The impending return of the Dutch international will not be a pleasant sight for Zinchenko...who has already seen his spot in the team go to Jakub Kiwior.

Timber played primarily at left-back in pre-season and his one competitive appearance for the club, so it seems this is where Mikel Arteta sees him fitting into the team. When playing on the left side of the defense, Timber hardly put a foot wrong and also offered plenty in attack.

Given that he is a far more complete full-back than Zinchenko, Timber will almost certainly be Arsenal's starting left-back next season. As a result, the Ukraine international will be surplus to requirements at the club, thus highlighting the need for Arsenal to sell him in the summer.
