Arsenal are reported to be one of the clubs interested in signing Italian sensation Riccardo Calafiori. They face competition from Chelsea and with the race very much still open, anything could happen.
Bologna director Giovanni Sartori has confirmed that the club will have to be realistic and consider proposals for Calafiori.

Arsenal no doubt have a great chance of sealing the signing of Calafiori and there are three key reasons why he is the ideal defensive target for the club.
1. Early deal
Calafiori caught the eyes of many with his impressive performances for Italy at Euro 2024 but the defending champions have since been knocked out of the tournament by Switzerland.
With Italy now out of the tournament, the hunt for Calafiori can now well and truly begin. The player will likely take a short break before returning to club football.
Getting a deal done this early for Arsenal would be crucial for the defender's development. Foreign players sometimes struggle to settle in and if the Gunners were to seal the deal early in pre-season, Calafiori would have plenty of time to make himself feel at home in his new surroundings.
The genuine possibility of getting this deal wrapped up relatively soon and the benefits this would have is one reason why Calafiori is the ideal defensive target for Arsenal.
