One of Arsenal's transfer priorities this summer is reported to be a left-sided defender and they have struck gold with Riccardo Calafiori.

Calafiori is a versatile defender as he is capable of playing at both centre-back and left-back, although is primarily the former. He has played 49 times at left-back throughout his career so no doubt would be perfectly capable of doing so.

He spent the majority of last season playing in the centre of defence for Bologna. As a result, he could be utilised as good cover for either position. His addition would be similar to that of Jakub Kiwior and could follow a similar path of player evolution. Calafiori would also provide much needed cover for the ever-brilliant Gabriel.
