Calafiori has only recently turned 22 years old so still has a very long career ahead of him. He would certainly fit Mikel Arteta's transfer preference as a signing for the future but also now.

Despite his age, he has played senior football for four years so does have some experience. He has played 92 games at senior club level so far in his career, as well as having five caps for Italy.

His age and experience means that while he may be ready to be part of the Arsenal squad, he would not have to be rushed into playing constant first team football. He would instead be a brilliant investment for the forthcoming years.
