2. Justice to finally be served?

The investigation and subsequent legal process with Manchester City has seen a notorious and staggering 115 charges brought against the treble holders.

While there has so far been little if any indication of significant progress in the proceedings, reports have suggested that the case is expected to be heard in autumn 2024, which could see City face possible sanctions next season.

It is important to stress that, as of now, Manchester City have not been found guilty of any wrongdoing, but it is certainly difficult to imagine the Premier League issuing 115 charges and being wrong on every one.

Possible sanctions will ultimately depend on the breaches of specific rules, if and when they are proven, but could range anywhere from a fine to a points deduction or even possible relegation.

This, coupled with a period of mass change at Liverpool, would see undoubtedly the two biggest challengers to Arsenal given massive setbacks in their pursuit of the title, giving a massive boost to the Gunners' chances.
