3 reasons why Alexander Isak should be Arsenal's priority striker target
- The Newcastle United striker is reported to be the Gunners' preferred option this summer and there are plenty of reasons why this should be the case
2. Great against tough opposition
Alexander Isak has shown during his time at Newcastle that he is capable of being a big game player. He has netted seven goals in 16 league appearances against the so called 'big six'.
He has netted twice against Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur respectively and also once against Manchester City. Given that in previous years, Arsenal have sometimes struggled to even find the back of the net against these opponents, the addition of Isak would be a blessing to the Gunners' already dangerous front line.
Isak also has an impressive record against tough opposition outside of the 'big six'. He has scored two goals in three league appearances against Aston Villa and has also put two past Wolves. Isak scoring has also been a familiar sight for West Ham United, who have conceded three goals to the Sweden international in just two games.
Despite struggles, Arsenal's record against the 'big six' has been constantly improving over the last few seasons and having a big game goalscorer will no doubt help this continue. His impressive record against tough opposition is another crucial reason why Isak should be the club's priority target this summer.
