3 reasons why Alexander Isak should be Arsenal's priority striker target
- The Newcastle United striker is reported to be the Gunners' preferred option this summer and there are plenty of reasons why this should be the case
3. Newcastle need to sell
There have been reports that Newcastle may need to sell players this summer in order to balance the books amid concerns surrounding Financial Fair Play. With Alexander Isak expected to generate plenty of interest, he could certainly be one of those leaving Tyneside and the Magpies may be forced to let that happen.
Isak is currently valued at £70m and there is no doubt Newcastle will demand a hefty fee should Arsenal come knocking. This won't be helped by his current contract with the Magpies being in place until 2028.
The Gunners will hope that Newcastle's need to sell will prevent their asking price being too high. Isak is also reportedly open to joining Arsenal so this could also prompt Newcastle to get a deal over and done with in order to increase their income. Nevertheless, this is an important reason why Isak should be Arsenal's priority striker target this summer.
