3. His release clause is only £86m

In the current climate, any striker Arsenal try to sign this summer will cost somewhere in the region of £100m. Even if the club signs a relatively unknown player, the price tag will likely inflate due to the size of a club like Arsenal.
With a release clause of £86m, Arsenal must simply convince the player to join and then trigger the fee. The club may still try and negotiate with Sporting to lower the price but, at most, the signing should not exceed the release clause (unless sometimes a club offers to pay more for a favourable payment structure).
The fixed payment sum means that unlike if Arsenal were to move for a player like Osimhen, the club shouldn’t be able to get drawn into a bidding war. If Gyökeres continues to perform at this level for the rest of the season, £86m will look like a steal.
Gyökeres has been, without a doubt, one of the best strikers in Europe this season and will almost certainly be one of the hottest prospects in this upcoming transfer window. Arsenal must strike first and sign Gyökeres before it is too late.
