3. Our trophy ‘drought’ must end NOW
It feels like about 84 years…
Building on the previous point, the vast resources at Arsenal mean that silverware is (surely) just around the corner and it is high time the Arteta reign added to its solitary 2020 FA Cup accolade (and no, Community Shields do not count).
That sun-drench afternoon at Wembley was almost four years ago and remains quite the anomaly for us, with the team suffering early cup eliminations on a regular basis since then.
Matters are even worse in the Premier League, where the Gunners have still not followed up on the Invincibles success. 2023/24 is the 20th anniversary of that remarkable campaign, and how fitting would it be to mark it with an overdue #14?
The process has worked towards this moment for a long while and fell just short last season, so it is even more important- both psychologically and given the money spent- that we now seize it, at the second time of asking.
