2. Flanks need more attention

If a winger does not arrive in the next week, maybe then the fans can reach for the pitchforks.

Any versatility or depth that Arsenal hold up top is sorely lacking out wide, with Gabriel Martinelli (out of form) and Leandro Trossard (better centrally) being our only left-sided options and Bukayo Saka standing alone as the right-wing choice.  

On paper, the need for investment is clear and Mikel Arteta has at times shown interest in making it, judging by our past bids for Raphinha (perhaps one to watch over the coming week) and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Not only did both deals get away from us, but there was also no alternative brought in instead and, thus, the wide selection has shrunk over time. If Arsenal hope to compete on every front, they surely cannot continue to ignore it.
