A win at the Etihad on Sunday would act as a huge morale booster to Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal team. The Gunners are currently on an eight game winning run and part of this was their 3-1 victory over Liverpool in February.

Since overcoming Liverpool, Arsenal have won all of their Premier League games and there is no doubt that the win against their title rivals would have acted as a morale booster. If the Gunners can pull off a similar result away to Manchester City, their morale will go through the roof and the players will be prompted to go on and win more.

After the game against City, Arsenal welcome Luton Town to the Emirates before facing a very difficult run. Following the visit of the Hatters, the Gunners take on Brighton, Aston Villa, Wolves, Chelsea and Tottenham. The Etihad has arguably been the most difficult stadium to go in the past five to ten years so a win on Sunday will certainly instil belief in the Arsenal squad that they can beat anyone in their path, thus allowing them to storm on and secure the Premier League title.
