Euro 2024 is now over, and Spain, including David Raya of Arsenal, have taken the grand prize. But who were the club's best performers throughout the tournament?
After four weeks of near-constant football across Germany, Euro 2024 has concluded. It culminated in a Spanish side, which included one Arsenal player, lifting the famous trophy.
This will undoubtedly be a career-high for Raya, but he is not the only Arsenal star who can hold his head high following this tournament. In total, 11 Arsenal players traveled to Germany to represent their respective nations, and many offered impressive performances throughout their involvement.
But with the tournament now complete, here is a look at three Arsenal stars who stood out from the rest at Euro 2024 and played important roles in their nation's progression.
3. Declan Rice - England
At times, Rice may not have played at his exceptionally high standards, but he played a crucial role as England reached their second successive European Championship final.
The 25-year-old was the only constant in an otherwise interchanging England midfield, given that he started alongside three different teammates - Trent Alexander-Arnold, Connor Gallagher and Kobbie Mainoo.
This lack of stability, along with wholesale tactical tweaks by Gareth Southgate, will have no doubt impacted Rice's performances but, despite this, he was still often one of the Three Lions' best players at the tournament.
He averaged a 92 per cent pass completion rate, as well as 2.7 tackles per game and more than five ball recoveries per game too.
While the likes of Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Cole Palmer will take the headlines for their exciting attacking threat and output, Rice's contribution should not be overlooked - as he was a standout player in Germany.
