Having two finalists in the top three performers list will probably come as little of a surprise, but Saka's inclusion in this list is because of far more than simply reaching the final.

The 23-year-old played a pivotal role in England's path to the final. If it were not for his stunning equaliser against Switzerland, the Three Lions would have likely bowed out much earlier.

While it was the winger's only direct goal involvement of the tournament, he provided near-constant threat on the right-hand side, and caused havoc for opposing defenders, which freed up space for his England teammates to drift into the middle of the park and box.

The young star played nearly every minute of the tournament, and his underlying stats were impressive, to say the least, with more than a shot and key pass per game and a higher dribble success rate (56 percent) than Lamine Yamal (40 percent) and Nico Williams (38 percent).

When you also consider that Saka has rarely been rotated or given rest in any of the last three seasons, playing through multiple injuries in the process, his performance at Euro 2024 is all the more impressive.
