A pulsating 90 minutes left Arsenal’s Champions League tie still firmly in the balance as the Gunners drew 2-2 with Bayern Munich.

It was an electric start and Arsenal found themselves with an early lead as Bukayo Saka stepped into the box and curled the ball into the bottom left corner.

However, the Arsenal defence looked uncharacteristically shaky and Bayern took advantage scoring two quick goals, including a penalty, to take the lead heading into half-time.

The Gunners fought hard to get back into the game and finally equalised in the 76th minute through Leandro Trossard. There was a last minute penalty shout when Bukayo Saka was brought down in the box but it was not given by the referee.

The result means the scores are level heading into the second leg of the quarter-final tie next week.
