2. Ben White

With the way Ben White has performed for Arsenal at right-back over recent seasons, it would be easy to forget that he was signed as a centre-back.

At Old Trafford, the Englishman was tasked with defending against Alejandro Garnacho which he did to great effect.

White’s defending was very effective and got the job done, he chose to be patient in his defending rather than diving in.

Often, White chose to simply prevent Garnacho from doing anything impactful with the ball rather than trying to force a challenge. As a result, the Argentinian winger was forced to recycle play or make risky passes which nearly almost led to Arsenal regaining possession.
