Ben White has consistently been one of the best players on the pitch in recent weeks and the game against Aston Villa was no different.

The Englishman was strong both defensively and offensively and was able to keep Nicolo Zaniolo quiet for most of the game.

His overlapping run with Saka worked incredibly well in the first half but the Gunners were unable to capitalise on any of their attacks.

White was unlucky to be substituted in the second half over some players that were able to stay on the pitch. However, the full-back was on a yellow card and it has been reported that he has been carrying an injury for a long time so that may have played a role in the decision.
