The captain Martin Odegaard was a class above the rest and unsurprisingly was a key part of the majority of our attacks. He played an essential role in the only goal of the game, taking out almost half of the Porto team with just one pass and setting up Trossard to score.

The 25-year-old had an 85% pass completion rate and seemed one of the most likely players to break down the Porto defence. In a defensive sense, Odegaard led the press from the front and set the tempo for the rest of the team to follow.

The Norwegian should have come away with a goal, a beautiful chipped finish over the keeper, but VAR and the referee intervened. He kept his cool in the penalty shootout and became the first Arsenal captain to reach the Champions League quarter-finals since 2010.
