3 standout players from Arsenal’s penalty shootout victory over FC Porto
- David Raya was Arsenal's penalty shootout hero
- Captain Odegaard carried side on the night
- Jakub Kiwior impressive again
3. Jakub Kiwior
You may be shocked to see Kiwior here instead of Trossard. After all, Trossard scored to level the tie at a time when it looked unlikely we would be able to put a dent in the Porto defence.
However, Jakub Kiwior has earned his place on this list. Signed as centre-back, Kiwior has been moulded into a left-back by Mikel Arteta over the past few months and he has excelled.
The Polish international has grown in confidence during his time at the club and his performance against Porto was another example of this. Kiwior looked assured at the back and kept Francisco Conceicao quiet until the winger was eventually substituted.
Kiwior was successful in five out of seven duels including all three aerial duels and had 73% passing accuracy. It was far from a vintage performance by either side but Kiwior played a big role in stifling the Porto attack.
