3 takeaways as Arsenal blow PSG away in the Champions League
- Arsenal claimed a deserved 2-0 win over PSG on Tuesday

3. Killer touch still lacking up top
There is always a ‘but’ and, on a night of so many positives, one can perhaps direct some frustration at our wasteful attack.
As a unit, they still gave us plenty to like: Havertz notched his third goal in as many matches, Saka excelled (again) and found the net and Gabriel Martinelli looked very lively even if he did not get on the scoresheet.
However, for all our first-half dominance, Arsenal did not put the game to bed and spurned several chances to do so (e.g. a Havertz header, two Martinelli strikes), something which might have been very costly if PSG had gotten a goal back.
Recent campaigns show that any slip-ups will be ruthlessly punished when you are competing for big honours. Of course, it is encouraging to see us create so much without Odegaard, yet more could be done to ensure we get maximum reward for it.
Makes you think what a marquee attacking signing could do in this team…
