3. A dilemma in goal

New backup goalkeeper Neto is unavailable for this match due to being cup-tied, thanks to playing in the competition for Bournemouth prior to his move to Arsenal. Due to this, David Raya and 16-year-old Jack Porter are likely to be the 'keepers involved in Wednesday's squad.

Raya seems the better option but this is a rare chance for him to rest and it would be wise to avoid playing him considering he picked up a knock against Man City. While it does seem the safer option, starting your first-choice goalkeeper in a third round EFL Cup tie against Bolton does sound a strange idea.

Jack Porter was featured in the matchday squad for the opening Champions League game against Atalanta in place of injured third-choice Tommy Setford. He finds himself as the next candidate to start in goal against Bolton. This would certainly come as a shock given his young age and severe lack of experience of first team football.

Mikel Arteta certainly has a dilemma on his hands. Does he pick the safe option and risk a key man, or provide valuable experience to the inexperienced? The decision lies with the Spaniard.
