Arsenal travel to face title rivals Manchester City on Sunday afternoon and will be looking to kickstart a serious run of form with a statement win.

The Gunners drew 0-0 to Atalanta in their last game, their first match in a new look Champions League. Last time out in the Premier League, Mikel Arteta's side beat Tottenham 1-0 thanks to a winning header from Gabriel Magalhaes. The North London Derby victory saw Arsenal rise to second in the Premier League table.

Arteta will be hoping his side can put their main title rival to the sword early on in the season in order to make a statement to his former teacher Pep Guardiola. There are three key talking points ahead of this showdown.

Arsenal are currently two points behind top-placed Manchester City and a win will see them leapfrog their title rivals.

Overtaking City this early in the season would be brilliant for Arteta's side as it will build momentum for them while having the opposite effect on Pep Guardiola's team. The trip to Etihad Stadium is arguably the Gunners' most difficult game of the season so securing a good result will allow Arsenal to build good ground on their title rivals early on.
