3 winners and 1 loser from Arsenal keeping Jorginho
By Kian Long
3. Mikel Arteta (winner)
As Mikel Arteta pushes to win not only the Premier League but the Champions League within the next few seasons, he will call upon all the experience possible. Jorginho is one of the rare players in the Arsenal squad who have won the Champions League, so his knowledge and experience could prove essential.
Not only that but Jorginho provides great squad depth. He's a great example of a player who doesn't have to play every single game to be happy. Instead, he can sit out for a week or two but then put in a stellar performance when he's called upon.
Furthermore, there are some games which need the "Jorginho sprinkle". By this, I mean in those high-pressure games against rampant sides who never give Arsenal a moment's piece, Jorginho's presence is the difference-maker. After all, he's one of the most composed players in the game and he has the ability to slow a game down, in the best possible way.
Arteta will definitely need this going forward, so he should consider extending Jorginho's current deal.
