Takehiro Tomiyasu (winner)

Takehiro Tomiyasu has had some periods of consistent first-team football this season, in the absence of Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Japan international offers something different tactically to the starting lineup so selling Zinchenko would only benefit Tomiyasu, who is versatile enough to play in most defensive positions.

Tomiyasu is a real fan favourite and Mikel Arteta clearly values him so he could be in for a starting lineup spot.

Martin Odegaard (loser)

Martin Odegaard leads by example. Naturally, he is a captain who his teammates can rely on with the ball at his feet and therefore, they would like to impress him. Odegaard is an exceptional captain and the best player for the role as far as Mikel Arteta is concerned but he is not the typical "loud mouth" captain which was more common in the early 2000s.

Zinchenko is a loud-mouth on the pitch and I mean that as a compliment. Selling Zinchenko means losing a powerful voice, which is not a positive thing for Arsenal's leadership ranks.
