3 winners and 2 losers from Arsenal selling Reiss Nelson this summer

Emile Smith Rowe (loser)

If Arsenal sell Reiss Nelson, it is a sign that Emile Smith Rowe isn't safe either. Both players came through the youth academy around the same time and were in similar "now or never" positions throughout the 2023/24 campaign. Given that both players failed to make a name for themselves or stamp their authority on the first team, it's hard to envision a future for them both in North London.

That said, it could be a case of only selling one out of Reiss Nelson or ESR this summer. Either way, neither player is safe at the moment.

Gabriel Jesus (winner)

For the same reason as Fabio Vieira, Gabriel Jesus could benefit from a climb of the right-winger pecking order at Arsenal if they sell Reiss Nelson. After all, Jesus has experience playing on the wing both with Arsenal and Man City and with Kai Havertz staking a claim at centre forward, this might be Jesus' best bet.

It will take some beating to eliminate Saka from the proceedings, so a more realistic goal is to provide backup and even rotate from time to time.
