Winner - Declan Rice

Declan Rice is the type of guy who is popular in the dressing room. He came to the club and took little time to settle in, already forming some good friendships at the club behind the scenes. Having a fellow England international added to the core of the team would only benefit Rice.

It would also be a win for Ivan Toney to be greeted by his international colleague. After all, Rice could be the mentor which Toney needs to settle in faster.

Loser - Kai Havertz

Needless to say, the best position for Kai Havertz to play is the centre forward role. Mikel Arteta experimented with Havertz as a midfielder but it was unsuccessful (to say the least).

Therefore, bringing in Ivan Toney does not provide a competition for places. If Arsenal are signing Toney, they are signing him to start almost every match. That said, it does render Havertz in a similar position to Nketiah, particularly with the competition for places already congested in the striker role.
