Declan Rice (winner)

Declan Rice is the jack of all trades. This season, he has been playing further forward than he was used to with West Ham and it suits him well. Rice is a key member of Arsenal's build-up play, so he would benefit from having Kimmich in the squad... But why?

Well, Kimmich is an expert at playing the defensive midfield role. He would operate best in this role and his presence alone would allow Declan Rice to drive further forward and involve himself in the attacking play. In defence, they could form a double pivot so it's a win-win.

Jorginho (loser)

If Jorginho harboured any wishes about staying with Arsenal after his contract ends this year, then Arsenal signing Kimmich would destroy those wishes. If Jorginho is after more game time, the opposite would be the case if Kimmich joins the hierarchy.
