3. Cedric Soares
Cedric Soares has been a good squad player but that's about it, really.
The Portugal international was signed by Mikel Arteta in 2020, initially on loan from Southampton. It is hard to pinpoint whether Cedric has been a good signing or not. In terms of impact, he has been a bad signing but in terms of meeting expectations, he has met them. This is because nobody expected much of Cedric when he signed and you best believe, he has met the bare minimum.
Cedric Soares is one of the Arsenal players with contracts expiring in 2024. However, it does not look likely that Arsenal will extend his current deal. It's understandable, considering he hardly plays anymore. This season, he has only made three Premier League appearances, none of those were starts.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Cedric, but it probably doesn't include Arsenal. Either way, he'll leave the club with no bitter feelings as he is a likeable guy and, as mentioned, he has been a valuable squad member. It would have been nice to see him challenge the starting eleven a bit more, though.
