4 clubs that could sign Emile Smith Rowe this summer
- The former star man looks set to leave Arsenal this summer and there are four clubs that could be after him
Emile Smith Rowe has fallen out of favour under Mikel Arteta and looks set to leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The Hale End graduate is a massively talented footballer so he will no doubt have plenty of interest if he is to depart this summer.
His chances of continuing his career with the Gunners seem slim and he will have to look to reignite it with another team. There are four specific clubs that could make a move for him in the transfer window.
1. Chelsea
Chelsea held an interest in Smith Rowe last summer but saw this rebuffed by Arsenal, who were intent on keeping him involved in the squad. With his place with the Gunners now under serious threat, the Blues could reignite their interest.
Enzo Maresca's side are after a midfielder this summer and are chasing a move for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The Leicester player was set to join Brighton but the deal collapsed after reports of Chelsea's interest emerged. Whether this deal gets over the line or not, Chelsea could still explore a deal for Smith Rowe, who played in midfield for the majority of last season.
A move to one of Arsenal's biggest rivals would certainly be controversial. Chelsea could struggle to get Smith Rowe to agree to a deal given his past displays of affection for his boyhood club.
