3. Alphonso Davies

More of a luxury option but this summer presents a golden opportunity for the best left-back in the world, Alphonso Davies, to leave Bayern Munich. The Canada international who played against Arsenal in the Champions League quarterfinal 1st leg runs out of contract in 2025 and doesn't look likely to extend beyond his current deal, with the future of Bayern Munich up in the air.

It goes without saying but Real Madrid are the favourites to land Alphonso Davies. This probably explains why Arsenal have not entered the race but what's the worst that could happen from Arsenal battling with Real Madrid? Losing? Doesn't sound so bad given the backup options in this list, does it?

Davies will miss the second leg against Arsenal this week and given how much of a relief this is to Mikel Arteta shows how special Davies is. A full-back who is rapid AND defensively smart comes as a rarity and it pains me to say but he's everything that Zinchenko isn't.
