1. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain (€38m)

To say that Arsenal's most expensive sale of all-time is €38m is SURELY a joke, right? I wish. Arsenal have never managed to pick up more than €50m for a player they have sold, which is quite remarkable considering the plethora of world-class players they have occupied in their rich history.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain represented Arsenal for six seasons, after being signed from Southampton as a youngster. Developing under Arsene Wenger certainly did wonders for his playing ability and he won the FA Cup three times.

However, his honours list with Arsenal pales insignificant when compared to that of Liverpool. At the Reds, he won the Premier League and the Champions League. His time with Liverpool was plagued by injuries but he still achieved remarkable things after leaving Arsenal.
