Arsenal have stepped up a level in the 2023/24 season. It is a season in which the club broke many records, testament to Mikel Arteta. Although it is a result of the team performance, individuals must be spotlighted. So, here are the 5 most improved Arsenal players of 2023/24 season...
5 most improved Arsenal players of 2023/24 season
1. David Raya
Fans can form their own opinions on David Raya's improvement coming at the expense of Aaron Ramsdale but nobody can deny that the Spanish goalkeeper has stepped up a level in the 2023/24 season.
Having won the Golden Glove before the season had even ended, David Raya truly improved Arsenal as a team. His insane distribution speaks for itself but he has made Arsenal look like a more assured team when building the tempo from the back.
Raya kept 16 clean sheets in the 2023/24 Premier League season (with one game remaining). For context, with Brentford last season, the Spanish shot-stopper kept 12 clean sheets. Therefore, he has shown significant improvement.
Having spent the season on loan at Arsenal, the plan is clear to sign David Raya permanently and opt for him between the sticks for the foreseeable future.
