3. Joe Willock (€29.4m profit)

One of the two Willock brothers who benefited from developing in the Arsenal academy, Joe Willock now plays his football with a Premier League rival, Newcastle United. However, it has been excellent to see Willock benefit from the mentorship of English manager Eddie Howe in the North of England.

Joe Willock was emerging himself as an incredible prospect for Arsenal, making his way into the Arsenal first-team and proving to be a key player. During his four year stint with Arsenal between 2017-2021, Joe Willock played under three different managers - Bursting onto the scene under Arsene Wenger, improving under Unai Emery and eventually being sold by Mikel Arteta.

Willock originally impressed on loan at Newcastle before the Magpies signed him permanently in 2021 for a transfer fee of €29.4m, paid to Arsenal. Again, as an academy graduate, this was tidy profit for Arsenal and a transfer which worked out great for all parties.
