3. William Saliba
William Saliba was originally signed by Unai Emery, which seems bizarre to say considering he only had his Arsenal breakthrough recently. However, Saliba didn't have the best start to life at Arsenal and there were concerns as to whether or not he'd be wasting his career, when he was somewhat pushed to the side in his early days.
However, Mikel Arteta always saw Saliba as the long-term centre back at Arsenal. After he returned from his loan spells in Ligue 1 and developed well there, William Saliba staked his claim in the Arsenal lineup at the beginning of the 2022/23 season. Since then, Arteta has never looked back.
In the last two seasons, Saliba has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League. Scrap that, one of the best players in the WORLD. His development under Mikel Arteta is exceptional and he rarely puts a foot wrong at the back for Arsenal.
