6. Declan Rice

It is crazy to say that Declan Rice has improved, considering he was on the border of being world-class at West Ham just a season ago. However, signing for Arsenal in the summer of 2023 certainly helped Rice to develop as a player and Arteta was influential to this.

Under Arteta, Rice plays in a more attacking capacity than he was used to at West Ham. Not to use a cliche but it appears the Englishman has been "unlocked" (albeit, he was the main man at West Ham).

It is only Rice's first season at Arsenal but he has already become one of the first names on the team sheet. As a £105m signing, he has more than justified his price tag and done everything he was signed to do; making Arsenal a force to be reckoned with, especially in big games.

There is still plenty more to come from Declan Rice but he has certainly improved at this stage of his career under Mikel Arteta.
