Not only was this performance one of Ramsdale's best in an Arsenal shirt, but it is also up there with the best-ever Gunners goalkeeping performances. Having gone into an early 2-0 lead, Arsenal had to withstand a flurry of attacks from Leicester City. Ramsdale ensured these were unsuccessful though, making a staggering eight saves. His best stop came when he tipped a James Maddison free-kick onto the bar before keeping out the follow-up from Jonny Evans.

This performance prompted Arsenal fans and the media to start placing Ramsdale in the debate for the best goalkeeper in the Premier League, as well as England's number one. With this game, Ramsdale made it clear to any critics that despite two consecutive relegations in previous seasons, he was able to compete at the top level for a top side.
