Declan Rice (CM) - 5.5/10 - Back in the #6 having failed to have much of an impact higher up the pitch on Tuesday, Rice was once again sub-par. Lost out on duels and Villa had success in the first half both in transition and accessing Morgan Rogers between the lines.

Martin Odegaard (CM) - 8/10 - By far and away Arsenal's standout performer in the first half. He was sensational on the opening 45 minutes. Faded considerably in the second-half, though, and was withdrawn late on.

Kai Havertz (CM) - 6.5/10 - His runs through the left half-space were wonderful, but there was no killer instinct in front of goal. Spurned a couple of good first half chances. One of few who was able to maintain his intensity levels.
